What a typical setup costs

Rentman charges a €39 platform fee, then a monthly price per planning user for each module. A planning user is anyone who plans equipment, schedules crew or creates quotes and invoices. Warehouse staff and technicians are free (Rentman pricing).

A rental company that wants inventory, quotes and invoices, and barcode scanning needs three modules:

Rentman module Per planning user a month
Inventory Standard €14
Quoting & Invoicing €9
Equipment Tracking (scanning) €9
Total €32
Planning users Rentman WisqRent Pro
1 €71 a month $49 a month
3 €135 a month $49 a month
5 €199 a month $49 a month
10 €359 a month $49 a month

On Rentman, warehouse staff and technicians don't count as planning users. On WisqRent Pro, every member counts toward the 10-member limit, crew included.

A second warehouse on Rentman needs Inventory Pro (€19 instead of €14) plus €5 per warehouse for every planning user. On WisqRent, Business costs $149 a month with unlimited members and warehouses. Rentman sells setup packages and a migration service (services). WisqRent support helps you migrate. See WisqRent pricing.

When Rentman is the better fit

  • You schedule crew. Rentman plans people, collects their availability and records hours (crew scheduling). WisqRent does not.
  • You invoice and get paid in one tool. Rentman sends invoices, takes payments through Stripe and connects to QuickBooks, Xero, Exact Online and Visma (integrations). WisqRent creates invoice PDFs, but you send them and collect payment yourself.
  • You need RFID or rugged scanners. Rentman supports RFID and Android Zebra scanners (inventory, mobile app).
  • You want a long track record. Rentman was founded in 2014 and says over 250,000 AV and event professionals use it (about Rentman).

When WisqRent is the better fit

  • Your team is growing. Pro costs the same for two people or ten, and scanning is included.
  • You want to start today. Sign up, add your gear and send a quote. The free plan has no end date.
  • You want to avoid double bookings. Drafts and quotes warn about clashes, confirmed orders reserve stock, and sent quotes keep their prices (availability).
  • Crew shouldn't see prices. Six roles decide who sees money. Crew and viewers never see quotes or revenue (roles).
  • You want AI built in. Every plan includes the AI assistant for questions about your inventory and orders.
