What a typical setup costs

Rental Tracker doesn't publish prices or plans. You call or email its sales team for a quote (Rental Tracker support), so you can't compare costs before you talk to them.

WisqRent's prices are on the website and don't depend on who you are:

Plan Billed yearly Billed monthly Members
Free $0 $0 1
Pro $39 a month $49 a month Up to 10
Business $119 a month $149 a month Unlimited

Every WisqRent member counts toward the 10-member limit on Pro, crew included, and Pro has one warehouse. Business has no limit on members or warehouses. Pro and Business start with a 14-day trial. See WisqRent pricing.

When Rental Tracker is the better fit

  • You run a studio or sound stage. Rental Tracker books stages, offices and parking spots by the hour, day, week or month, and dispatches trucks to deliveries and pickups (RTProSL+). WisqRent does not.
  • You need RFID. Rental Tracker supports handheld RFID readers and fixed portals at warehouse doors and loading bays (RFID). WisqRent scans barcode labels.
  • You invoice and collect in one tool. Rental Tracker records payments, sends customer statements and runs aging reports (Rental Tracker). WisqRent doesn't create invoices or take payments.
  • You rent costumes and props. RTProCP is built for costume and property shops, with a shopping cart for clients who browse in person (RTProCP).
  • You want a long track record. Rental Tracker says it has over 27 years of experience building software for the rental entertainment industry (about Rental Tracker).

When WisqRent is the better fit

  • You want to know the price up front. Plans and prices are public, and Pro costs the same for two people or ten, with scanning included.
  • You want to start today. Sign up, add your gear and send a quote. The free plan has no end date.
  • You want to avoid double bookings. Drafts and quotes warn about clashes, confirmed orders reserve stock, and sent quotes keep their prices (availability).
  • Crew shouldn't see prices. Six roles decide who sees money. Crew and viewers never see quotes or revenue (roles).
  • You want AI built in. Every plan includes the AI assistant for questions about your inventory and orders.

Switching from Rental Tracker

Rental Tracker's website doesn't describe an inventory export, so ask its support for your equipment list as a CSV or XLSX file, with serial numbers and stock levels if they can include them. No export to hand? Sign in to WisqRent, select Download template under Settings → Data and fill it in. Upload the file there. WisqRent brings over your products, units and stock, and keeps serial numbers on Pro and Business. AI fills in the departments, categories and manufacturers your file doesn't have, and you review everything before it is imported. Contact support if you'd like help moving over.

While you move, start the 14-day Pro trial with the gear you rent most and run your next few quotes through WisqRent.
