What a typical setup costs

Point of Rental quotes each business after a conversation. Its pricing page says you pay for the features and users you need, with 2 users included, and that pricing scales with your industry, growth and deployment (Point of Rental pricing). For both Elite and Essentials, the price depends on fleet size, number of locations and features (Elite, Essentials). To compare, ask Point of Rental for a quote for your team.

WisqRent publishes its prices. Pro costs $39 a month billed yearly ($468 a year), or $49 billed monthly, for up to 10 members and one warehouse. Every member counts toward the limit, crew included. Business costs $119 a month billed yearly, or $149 billed monthly, with unlimited members and warehouses. Free covers one person with no end date, and Pro and Business start with a 14-day trial. See WisqRent pricing.

When Point of Rental is the better fit

  • You run many branches. Elite manages inventory, communication and operations across every branch, and Essentials routes transfers between stores (Elite, Essentials). WisqRent Business supports multiple warehouses.
  • You rent heavy equipment, tools or party gear. Point of Rental serves heavy equipment, general tool, aerial and access, event and tent, and other rental industries (Point of Rental). WisqRent is built for AV, event and staging work.
  • Customers book and pay online. Point of Rental offers an online storefront and payments (event and tent). WisqRent doesn't create invoices or take payments.
  • You dispatch trucks and maintain a fleet. Elite covers truck assignments, live GPS tracking, preventive maintenance and repair orders (Elite). WisqRent plans delivery windows and can send units to service, but does not dispatch trucks.
  • You design tent and event layouts. PartyCAD draws 2D and 3D layouts and exports them into a quote (PartyCAD).
  • You want a long track record. Point of Rental says it has worked in rental since 1982 and has a community of 70,000+ rental experts (Point of Rental).

When WisqRent is the better fit

  • You want to see the price first. Pro costs the same for two people or ten, and scanning is included. The free plan has no end date.
  • You quote jobs, not checkouts. Orders group into projects with venues and delivery windows, and sent quotes keep their prices (orders).
  • You run a warehouse. Scan labels to pack, check gear back in, and record damage and loss (warehouse).
  • You sub-rent from other companies. Add the supplier's quote to the order, AI reads it, and you set your markup. The customer only sees your prices.
  • Crew shouldn't see prices. Six roles decide who sees money. Crew and viewers never see quotes or revenue (roles).
  • You want AI built in. Every plan includes the AI assistant for questions about your inventory and orders.

Switching from Point of Rental

Point of Rental's help describes exporting your item list to a spreadsheet from Item Availability with its Mass Editing Inventory add-on (right-click, then Export to spreadsheet) and saving it as a CSV file (Point of Rental help). Upload the file under Settings → Data. WisqRent recognises the columns with AI, brings over your products, units and stock, and keeps serial numbers on Pro and Business. AI fills in the departments, categories and manufacturers your export doesn't have, and you review everything before it is imported. Contact support if you'd like help moving over.

While you move, start the 14-day Pro trial with the gear you rent most and run your next few quotes through WisqRent.
